Founded in 1991 by David Valentini, our firm is committed to providing every client with top quality legal services. We work hard to handle each case with aggressive representation so that our clients receive the best possible outcome. Valentini Law handles cases in Minneapolis, St. Paul, the Twin Cities metro area, and throughout all of Minnesota.
Derek defends people accused of serious crimes. He strives to get the best results in court for his clients, as well as improve their lives by helping with any underlying issues that may exist. Derek focuses on Assault Crimes, Drug Crimes, DWI Crimes, Firearms & Weapons Crimes, Sex Crimes, Violent Crimes, and White Collar Crimes.
He has tried numerous felony cases to juries, received many not guilty verdicts, obtained many case dismissals, suppressed material pieces of evidence, and engaged in many favorable plea negotiations.
Derek received his bachelor’s degree from University of Pittsburgh and earned his law degree from the University of St. Thomas, School of Law. While at St. Thomas, he was a member of the Trial Advocacy competition team.
Derek is a member of the Minnesota Association of Criminal Defense and Minnesota Society of Criminal Justice. Derek has also been nominated as a SuperLawyers Rising Star since 2018.
